(More customer reviews)I have seen better phono pre-amps but the Bellari VP530 is all you'll ever need as it has all the features you will ever need. Controllable gain. RIAA or non-RIAA EQ, of course, computer-based vinyl ripping to your heart's desire.
Just a word of caution, don't judge this until sufficiently "broken-in". Tubes and components need some time to reach optimum performance. It wouldn't hurt too to do some tube-rolling and replace stock Russian tube with NOS US made ones which bring them to a higher level of enjoyment. My only gripe is perhaps they could have increased amount of gain possible to really make your records sing. How about adding another 12ax7 tube Bellari? Then you will truly have a winner!

The VP530 phono preamp combines the sweet luscious sounds of the VP129 with USB connection. The USB output makes it easy for you to download your vinyl collection to your computer or hard disc server. The VP530 employs a sophisticated Burr-Brown PCM2901EG (16-bit, 44.1 kHz) chip in a smartly designed Bellari circuit. This gives you a digital data stream that is output through USB. Audio recording software is included with the VP530, but you can also easily find a freeware program online to record and edit your music. The VP530 lets you select RIAA equalization or skip it. You can output a flat data stream and set whatever curve you like. You can also choose your own sampling rate and format.
