(More customer reviews)I bought this a few months back. I bought a 1TB hard drive to put in it as well. It worked great at first, but after a few days it would boot up, show the Mediagate screen, then go blank.
It turns out that the security features of NTFS don't play well with this product. So I reformatted it to FAT32 and sure enough, it began working like a dream again! I have not had any problems with it since.
It will play most popular file formats, but less common formats such as mkv, rmvb, etc have to be streamed from your computer. The processor in this product is not strong enough to process those type of files.
While the manual can be humorous to read since it was directly translated, this product is simple enough to operate that it will suffice.
I will be buying another one of these for my current deployment!
