(More customer reviews)This is the perfect product for those of you looking for a portable recordable audio player but are shocked at the high prices and low memory size of MP3 players. With the new USB to digital optical products out on the market, it has become very easy to digitally transfer your MP3's to minidisc at a low-cost, without having to worry about a loss of quality. The Sharp also has a great analog sound as well.
Although I have graduated to the much higher cost Sony MD-90, this was my first, and to tell you the truth they perform almost as well.
The final reason fof purchasing this machine over an MP3 player is that for the price of 1 Sony MagicGate 64MB Memory Card (holding an hour of music), you can get 60 Multi-recordable Minidiscs (holding close to 70 hours of music) Need I say more?
