This is a very well made device: it records beautifully and it's fairly robust physically. I've got live jazz & blues recordings made with the accompanying mic that are as good as many live CDs.
Only one problem: the wierd shaped Li-Ion battery died very young. Where can I get batteries for this machine?

The Aiwa AM-F70 Portable MD Recorder/Player is a portable recorder/player for minidiscs. Capable of both playing CD-quality sound as well as recording it, the Aiwa AM-F70's capabilities defy its 19.3-millimeter size. The Aiwa AM-F70 is equipped with 40-second antishock and Dyanmic Super Linear sound. It boasts a battery life of up to 40 hours and even has a three-point battery monitor so you'll know before the power runs out. Three-way input and the 20-bit digital/analog converter provide you with a host of recording options.
