(More customer reviews)The Pinnacle DV Creator 85 is inexpensive, simple and easy to use. I really hesitated in purchasing this item based on other reviews of Pinnacle products. Fortunately, those other reviews were proved wrong by the DV 85. It comes with the USB 2.0 video connector device, Pinnacle Quick Start and Pinnacle Studio/Studio Plus content disk.
I installed the Quick Start software and hooked up the device to a USB 2.0 port on my laptop. I then hooked it to my video and audio out from my receiver and I was viewing and capturing audio and video within a few minutes. The QuickStart software works well to capture AV.
For composing CDs and DVDs I purchased Sony's Vegas Movie Studio and DVD which is a great package for editting, dressing up, and laying out your captured video to DVD.
Key points:
1. Make sure you have a USB 2.0 port on your computer.
2. The QuickStart software must be installed to install the drivers, but works great for capturing the audio and video.
3. Use another package to edit the video, layout the DVD and write the content to DVD.
