(More customer reviews)I see some negative reviews here because the mic does not work with Skype. This is because inputing a mic into the iPod Touch headphone jack disables the speaker. I have to say it's not the mic fault, but rather the user who didn't research what the mic does. It is only for inputting audio into recording aps. If you want to use it as a phone rig, then you have to look at an adapter or a mic/headphone combo since you will lose the speaker output on the ipod. That said, I would like to say that this is an excellent mic. I'm am an old recording buff and have had tons of mics. I'm am very, very pleased with the audio this mic records. It sounds as clear and natural as condenser mics costing four or five times as much. I was really very surprised by its recording capabilities - as I mainly bought it to jot down little audio notes to myself, not thinking I'd be getting really nice fidelity along the way. The makers say they auditioned a bunch on condenser mic before settling on the one in the Thumbtack and I believe it. When used close to the speaker, it provides amazing sound for the price. Bravo guys for making such a cool-looking, good-sounding mic.
