I bought this to replace my Sony MZ-M200 recorder because the stick batteries it uses were becoming too hard to find and obsolete. This recorder (ICD-UX300) comes with a rechargeable AA battery and it was fully charged when I received (the first electronic device that I didn't need to charge the battery immediately)and it lasts forever! I have not checked how it works in recording a meeting but it has the same quality as the MZ-M200 which is fantastic for music and recording meetings. Good job, Sony!
