SUMMARY:
Pros: Great capture quality at a budget price. Not as PC hardware sensitive (don't need superfast PC). Better capture & editing software is bundled than most others.
Cons: The software not the most easy to use.

KWorld DVD Maker 2 works well in my setup. Unlike the Diamond VC500, I do not have any issue with KWorld on my Vista notebooks. Video quality is noticably better due to better capturing software (Cyberlink) and better parts (properly shielded). I also do not see any video/audio out-of-sync issue after recording over 80 minutes, as in the case of Diamond VC500 (at ~25 minutes on Vista, at ~50 minutes on XP).
It's not perfect of course. It still does not match the quality of first DVR the programme then use PC to convert the DVD video - but the time saved by using this product is well justified. For most common video archiving process, KWorld is good enough.
The only down side of this package is the Cyberlink software does have some learning curve if you wanna get fancy. For basic video capture, however, it's close to plug and play (VC500 is easier to operate but have less options).
