(More customer reviews)First I wanted to say that the comment about it not having a tape counter, almost talked me out of buying this model. However it DOES have a counter, perhaps the reviewer was referring to the fact that it isn't displayed on the front panel, only on the TV.
My only disappointment with this unit is the remote. The lighted button idea sounded great, but all it does is light the big VCR-related buttons which are easy enough to distinquish by feel. I hoped it would light the small, clumped together, buttons.
Otherwise the picture quality is great, as is the sound, and I like some of the extras, such as; channel labeling, "remaining tape" display, labeled indexing, and the "skip one minute" button.
